Petronas Sepang Racing Team Unveils 2019 Liveries

The first ever Malaysian team in MotoGP, PETRONAS Yamaha Sepang Racing Team, and the PETRONAS Sprinta Racing line-ups for Moto2 and Moto3, was officially unveiled bedecked in the new 2019 Petronas livery at KLCC.

Launched by PETRONAS Chairman Datuk Nizam Salleh, accompanied by the presence of a number of Malaysia’s dignitaries, the event showcased the new PETRONAS Yamaha Sepang Racing Team riders in MotoGP – Franco Morbidelli and Fabio Quartararo – and their 2019 Yamaha YZR-M1 machines lined up alongside PETRONAS Sprinta Racing riders our very own Khairul Idham Pawi (Moto2), as well as Ayumu Sasaki and John McPhee (Moto3).

It goes without saying that most of the attention was for Malaysia’s two-time Moto3 grand prix winner ‘Super KIP’ Khairul Idham Pawi – PETRONAS Sprinta Racing outfit’s Moto2 sole rider, who appears eager to reclaim the world beating achievements he has had after annihilating the entire Moto3 grid over two exceedingly wet grand prix a few seasons ago.

The new-look PETRONAS Yamaha Sepang Racing Team will make its first track appearance at the scheduled first official 2019 MotoGP test at Sepang on February 6 – 8, whereas the PETRONAS Sprinta Racing Moto2 and Moto3 teams will undergo their private test on February 11 – 13 also at Sepang.
