Honda showcases the world’s fastest front wheel drive production car, the FK8 Honda Civic Type R with the Mugen concept bodykit for the first time in Southeast Asia at the Malaysia Autoshow 2019 which kick off today.
The Civic Type R Mugen Concept is seen in a very hot Carnival Red, standing out at the Honda booth. At the moment, the Civic Type R Mugen Concept differs from the regular Civic Type R only by the aesthetic enhancements without any mechanical changes found. The Civic Type R Mugen Concept continues to be powered by the exciting 2.0-litre VTEC Turbocharged engine producing 310PS and 400NM.
The Civic Type R Mugen Concept gains quite a few exterior enhancements which includes a Carbon Grille Garnish, redesigned LED tail lamp, a front lip spoiler, rear under spoiler and side garnish with the addition of what looks like a Mugen carbon fiber side mirrors. Besides that the Mugen Concept also gets the MUGEN Body Sticker to show that it’s not a regular Type R. A new 20-inch wheels with Mugen wheel nut set finishes off the exterior of the car. The rims may be tough to clean with 20 spokes but they look hella sick
The interior of the car gets some subtle enhancements, which mainly are the sports steering wheel with carbon fiber accent, a red leather shifter knob, Mugen sport mat and Mugen scuff plate. If this is just a concept i wonder what a full fledge Mugen FK8R would be like.
