LEONA CHIN Rockets to Stardom as First Female to Pole and Win at MCS
Famous Malaysian female racing driver and drifter Leona Chin etched herself into the history books during the Malaysian Championship Series last weekend by becoming the first female to qualify a Pole Position and WON in both the races of the M Production (MTC) category in the Tedco Racing Suzuki Swift.
Making her name from drifting and then to circuit racing, Leona has come a long way and as a driver for Tedco Racing, she seems to be just gearing up. MCS 2019 Round 1 saw Leona completing 21 laps in 1 hour 3 minute 47.438 seconds with the fastest lap time of 2 minutes 41.968 seconds.
After her win in Race 1, even a 30KG success ballast could not upset her pace as she rocketed to the Race 2 top podium spot. Given her talent and success, she’s been selected to be in the Talent Development Programme by Tedco Racing and she’s is gearing up for MCS 2019 Round 2 in a couple of weeks. The game is on!
