I must say that as an automotive manufacturer, the Honda Motor Company is sure well confident with their direction. Up to now, every single car they have produced has come out very impressive, performance and design wise. Just look at their MPVs, they are in fact one of the first few major manufacturer who were bold enough to make them sexy with the Stream being the main example.

At the ‘normal' car or sedan front, the Integra remains to be at the leading pack in the high performance range, ranked above the equally popular Prelude model but just below the recently discontinued NSX. This in-between attribute is the most appealing quality the Integra has. Whether street-ability or pant soiling performance, the car can go either way an owner may decide, as we all may have witnessed both on regular roads and in the track. My own personal interest and marvel for the Integra actually started with the DC2 of course, as many of you did too and further cemented with the awesome build of the newer DC5. But as you can see from the splendid pictures, the devilish DC2 is our focus for now.

This particular car is not just any Integra DC2 mind you. Were we lucky to get hold of this car for feature thanks to Mr. Lee Vun from VPS Century, the company that provides the exquisite VPS car detailing service. Just sidestepping a bit here, but being there with the car which has obviously been treated with the company's paint protection formulas and what not; it is easy to marvel at the pristine condition of the paintwork. I know it looks good in the images you see here but trust me people, it sure looks even better in reality. Plus, the fact that a simple plain white color totally devoid of any splashy graphics or decals can be so stunning says quite a bit about the VPS Protection. But we'll get to that later.

The most important factor to state at this point is that the powerplant still uses the B18C you'd expect to see in the engine bay. Sure, there are plenty delicious bolt-on upgrades from very familiar names to upgrade its' performance; but as everyone knows, the 1.8 liter B series engine from Honda is a star on its own. Even with the newer K series with more torque dynamics especially in the lower engine revolutions, the B16C offers great resilience when pushed hard plus the added benefits of an engine with characteristics many tuners long know about.

And then factor in the Type-R specs, then you have a more tuned version. So I guess it does make things less difficult where upgrades are concerned. First up is the humongous air intake system from Mugen to ensure smooth flow of oxygen rich air into the manifold before further in the 70mm throttle body. As a matter a fact, Mugen is the most visually obvious name here being one of the most (if not the most) popular brand in Honda aftermarket parts. That also includes with the use of thermostat, radiator cap, rocker cover and oil filler cap from Mugen. Other significant add-ons also come from this company such as a 4-to-1 extractor mated to a Twin Loop exhaust system ensuring an uninterrupted out flow of gasses.
